We Accept Alloys…
Astro City Scrap Metal buys and sells scrap alloy metals. Some of the most lucrative metals we purchase are comprised of alloys. An alloy is defined as, “a substance composed of two or more metals and a nonmetal intimately united usually by being fused together and dissolving in each other when molten.”
Our state-of-the art X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) scanner provides dependable elemental analysis for the most accurate readings of the alloys that are brought to us to insure you get the full value of your scrap alloy. It also helps with Positive Material Identification (PMI) as well as Alloy Quality Control (QC).
We accept the Following Alloys

The element titanium (Ti) is the 9th most abundant element in the earth crust and is the 4th most abundant metallic element. Titanium is number 22 on the Periodic Table, has an atomic weight of 47.90, and is represented by the symbol “Ti”. The element itself is found in the forms of rutile and ilmenite in beach sand.
Monel scrap is a vital part of the reusable metal industry. Since Monel scrap is much more expensive than typical stainless steel scrap metal, it is important to recycle it as much as possible. Monel scrap can be found in flat and solid mill shapes including Monel sheet, Monel plate, Monel flat bar and Monel round bar.
Metals with Nickel
nickel is widely used in over 300,000 products for consumer, industrial, military, transport, aerospace, marine and architectural applications. The biggest use is in alloying – particularly with chromium and other metals to produce stainless and heat-resisting steels. These are used for pots and pans, kitchen sinks etc, as well in buildings, food processing equipment, medical equipment and chemical plants.
We buy and sell commercial and industrial scrap metals that are non-ferrous including alloys, aluminum, brass, copper, insulated wire and much more. Learn about the scrap metals we accept by clicking on the categories listed below or feel free to contact us at 713-697-2999 today.
